I attended my first proper autocross (since the GT Academy Nationals)

Took my FR-S to the last Red Deer Sports Car Club event of the season. Man I wish I could have gotten around to it sooner.

We got 3 runs in the morning and 4 in the afternoon. My first three were marred by a few misse gates but my four later runs were all good.

The toyobaru was the most common car, yet there was nary a F*ST to be found. I was the fastest Unmodified 86, 16th overall and 3rd in the adjusted PAX standings. I don't know how that works, but I guess that's pretty good.

Lotsa cool cars. There was even a group doing a $1000 cheap car challenge, so there was some interesting stuff.

I'm pretty happy with my performance. I was asked if I had done a lot of Autocross before, or if I was just a natural. My answer was that I sim race a lot.

At the Vegas autocross the FRS is extremely popular. A lot of Miata and 240SX people bought them.

I was watching the world challenge and some 17 year old was racing and they said he went from carts, to spec miata, to world challenge. Seemed like a good idea. If my kid wants to race i'll try to provide that path to him lol
